The Rise of Life's Unseen Accessory

The sense of smell can tell us when there is a fire, if food has gone bad. It can help us appreciate fresh cut flowers in the springs and our favorite candle on rainy days. A person's scent is one of the first things to stand out about them and can say a lot about their personality. I feel like now more than ever, I have seen so much talk about perfumes and fragrance- it is the unseen accessory to finish off your outfit. Perfume has always had such a sexy, sophisticated, fun connotation to it and today I am going to show you some of my favorite scents at the moment and what they say about your personality!

Chance by Chanel
This one always reminds me of my mom because she always wore it when I was younger and now I have adopted this scent into my collection. Chanel is always a classy and coveted brand. People who wear Chanel, specifically Chance, usually have a higher taste than they can afford- hence why the only thing Chanel I have is the perfume. Chance is the oldest child of perfumes. She is fruity and fun, but still smooth and classic. With hints of florals, jasmine, and grapefruit, this perfume creates a well rounded scent that can be spotted from a mile away. A little bit of a try hard, but she is a reliable choice when going into a job interview or a charity gala.

Juliette Has a Gun NOT a Perfume
Juliette Has a Gun is more of a smaller brand when it comes to fragrance. This brand is usually only sold in department stores and specialty stores- I first found it through Sephora. People who wear NOT a Perfume don't like to make a big deal about things. She probably have middle child syndrome and is used to playing things low key.  She prefers discretion over complexity, while still appreciating the classics. The brand is limited in their distribution this is a small factor that makes her feel special.

Dior J'Adore
You always see commercials for this scent, but it is such a classic. Dior has been the quiet luxury brand for years now and apart from their accessories, they are commonly know for their fragrance. People who wear Dior J'Adore have a natural beauty to them. She's mysterious and knows how to play her cards right. She probably wears gold jewelry and can be seen wear a black leather blazer with perfectly styled curtain bangs. This floral scent differs from the Chance perfume because there is an added layer of mystery. She keeps her friends close and her enemies closer.

Philosophy Amazing Grace
I remember in high school when Philosophy was the brand to get- especially the birthday set on your birthday. Philosophy is a safe, reliable brand with good quality and a loyal customer. People who wear Philosophy Amazing Grace probably have a very maternal sense to them. She is sweet and the friend you want to go to for advice. She always have extra cash on her. With hints of lily of valley and musk, this perfume has the makings of a traditional signature scent.

Marc Jacobs Daisy
Marc Jacobs is an expressive brand, so it only makes sense that there is a perfume to match. People who wear Daisy probably sparkle doing the ordinary. She is the life of the party. She will be the person you call when you want to go clubbing, to a gallery opening, and she can always get reservations at American Bar with a snap of a finger. With hints of strawberry, violet leaves, and white wood, this scent is irresistible. A little bit of a flirt, she is nice to everyone she meets and doesn't take life too seriously. If I'm being honest, we could all use a little dose of Daisy!
