Hey Everyone!

Another book review coming your way today- back at the self-help grind. First of all I want to quickly go over the concept of "self- help". I feel like it comes off as desperate or pathetic, but  I have never felt more empowered. There is nothing wrong with wanting to grow. Basically, don't feel bad for reading books that better yourself! Anyways, today I will be talking about the book, The Power of Habits. This book gives you a fascinating look at the essential function of habits in human life. Some say that life is full of choices, such as what we watch before bed, what we do when we wake up, even how many times we go to the gym a week, but in this book Charles Duhigg argues that those are all habits. Duhigg gives the reader real examples from the professional world ranging from Proctor and Gamble to the NFL. He shows how one habit can cause a change reaction, transforming you into the person you want to be. This book reveals the power in potential noting that the beauty of human nature is the root of a habit. Not only will you learn the value of creating new habits, you will be able to identify how to get rid of the bad ones. Harnessing the desire that creates a habit is what allows people to quit toxic habits like smoking cigarettes and alcoholism to losing weight and training marathons. I would implore you guys to read this book and reflect on some of the habits in your life! The only person stopping yourself from becoming the person you want to be is YOU!!

Stay UNIQUE,

Sara Anne
