Holiday Dinner Outfit Look Book

Hey Everyone!

'Twas the week leading to Christmas and all through the blog, Sara Anne has been outfit hunting so you can play with your dog. I know that was pretty bad, but it was something to get your attention (hopefully). Anyways, the point of this post is to give you some outfit inspiration for whatever kind of Christmas dinner you will be having this year. The holidays are taking an altered approach this year with zoom calls and contactless present delivery, but there is no reason why you can't still look good in these changing times- and that is where I come in. Also, I in no way am encouraging you to buy new clothes! I know that the holiday season is hectic and can be costly, so feel free to thrift or look in your friends closets to barrow! Take what you like about this post and leave what you don't. I have put together a look book for you all to pull from when getting ready for this holiday time! Be sure to comment your favorite look down below!

Enjoy and Happy Holidays!

1. Leather Pants +Sweater or Blazer

Personally, I have become a big fan of the leather legging since getting my pair in September. I think they look so boujee and are an easy texture to add to an outfit. With inspiration, I suggest pairing it with a neutral colored sweater or blazer for a layering effect. I say neutral because it makes the look more linear and more mature. These leather pants also dress up any outfit you have and are guaranteed to impress your family members and friends this year!

2. Mom Jeans + Turtle Neck + Sweater Vest

This has got to be one of my favorite looks of the year. I love that we are turning geek into chic! Another easy way to incorporate layers, this look is comfortable and makes you look like you put more effort than you did. These oversized vest are so easy to find nowadays you can literally get them on Amazon.

3. Camel Sweater Dress + Neutral Booties

This look is very sophisticated and clean cut. I personally gravitate to the neutrals during the holiday season because there is usually so much going on with the decorations that neutrals don't distract as much as everything else. This camel color is very flattering on every skin tone and sets the perfect foundation to accessorize.

4. Velvet Tunic + Leggings or Tights

Velvet is another one of my favorite textures because it gives off a sense of elegance and style. The way it moves it like water. This tunic/ legging combo is easy and customizable for whatever route you want to take it. Whether you decide to add a chunky belt or a chunky necklace or a chunky heel. This outfit choice will play into the classic Christmas attire.

5. Monochromatic Sweat Suit + Trench Coat + Dad Sneakers

This is for the Zoom Christmas dinner. Thanks to COVID, the sweat suit has received its redemptions and marked with the seal of approval to wear in public settings. The combination of the trench coat and monochromatic matching sets also elevate the sweat suit look by making them seem like they are meant to be paired together. Sometimes holidays can be exhausting is this is the perfect final outfit to finish the celebration in. Plus it makes the perfect transition from night to good night!
