I feel like my dilemma with fashion is something that a lot of people face: I want the trends but don't have the money to meet the price they are at, but at the same time, I don't want to feed into the "fast fashion" industry by shopping at places like FashionNova and SheIn. Today I have found some of the main summer trends and found them at a lower prices. These pieces are not the same as the designer pieces but they are close to it and done in their own way. The designer world has become a lot more discrete when it comes to explicitly including the designer's name in their items, so sometimes you can't even tell what is designer and what is H&M or Old Navy. There is a cheaper way of being chic and I am here to help you out with that!

Sneakers
Back in April I wrote a piece about the rise of sneakers in the shoe industry. Fashion, in general, has become more casual and heavily influenced by street style. There are now sneakers exclusively made for fashion. Like many things in the fashion industry, these shoes have shifted in emphasis on form over function.
Palm Print
Going off of probably the most obvious trend for the summer, this print is so versatile can be seen in tops, bottoms, or dress. Because it is a print and not a specific cut, it is so easy to incorporate into your fashion diet.
Sweat Shorts
Like I was saying, fashion has shifted to casual and thanks to COVID-19, it has also shifted to comfort. These sweat shorts are an unexpected trend in my opinion because of how they are being styled. I did not know that there was a way to "dress up" sweat shorts but you learn something new everyday.
Baby Doll Dress
For the most part, I feel like the "baby doll look" has been a pretty strong constant in the fashion trends throughout the years with its occasional peaks and valleys. The only difference in its current term is how people are styling it.
Bucket Hat
Just another things taken from the influences of street style. This fun summer accessory has come into the mainstream with styles that range from basic solids or funky patterns.
Button Up Shirt
WFH wear is still prevalent even though it is now summer. One thing that has come out of this summer trend is pairing button ups with bikini sets as a cover up or day look. An overall basic in the fashion industry; it is definitely a must have in your closet.
