Summer. Summer! SUMMER!!
We are officially half into to June and summer weather is in full swing. I am currently in Northern Virginia right now with family and last week it reach 90 degrees! Although COVID-19 is still a very real thing and we should all be social distancing, at least we can look cute doing it! I have noticed that putting together a real outfit to wear for the day has made more productive and generally in a better mood. This could be as simple as just wearing jean shorts instead of running shorts. One thing I have noticed is that although we are still experiencing a pandemic, fashion still lives on. Fashion is not necessary run by the brands, but by the people and there are even fashion trends created while in quarantine. Although trend forecasting and keeping up with fashion weeks to set the standards seem like a distant memory, it is all still happening! Today I will be featuring my opinion of the five colors that make up the 2020 Summer Trend Color Palette. These colors are going to be must haves in your closet! From designer label to bargain bins, these are what you are going to want to stick to.

Hot Pink
Hot pink always makes a statement no matter what you are wear and it also is bright enough to blend with the "vibe" of summer. Hot pink is probably the most expected color to be in my Summer Trend Color Palette because similar to florals in spring, it is a base for experimentation.
Baby Blue
Baby blue. Another universal basic. Baby blue gives any look a more calming presence and a easy going vibe. This color is mostly used in the denim on denim parings to give easy transition to each piece. Baby blue is also the perfect transition color from spring to summer!
Light Green
On the more unexpected side of things, lime green and light green are two colors that will be giving a more tropical feeling to this summer, transitioning from a major spring trending look. A lot of spinkles of the color completes a summer look and the designers have proven this to be true.
Tan
The neutral of the summer is tan. Like the color of the sand, sunkissed skin, and simplicity, this color will give any look a more natural feel. Often seen alongside the popular linen trend and tailored trousers, this color is easy to accessorize ranging from mixed metals to wicker handbags.
Glitter
While I used to think that glitter was extremely tacky, people change. Glitter in the summer adds an extra element to the summer look reflecting in the sun. All good things are done in moderation and glitter is no different. In this case, small pieces are the way to go. The biggest trend for glitter is specifically in swimwear this year so keep an eye out, but here are some looks for you now!
